Tampa Art Classes
At Thistlemoor Art Studio
Thistlemoor Art Studio is located on a ten acre farm withtwo lakes where the swans, ducks and geese swim. You may be greeted by NBC our Indian Blue peacock who hangs out on the back veranda waiting for some peanuts or blueberries. The New Guinea Keets roam the property and stay the night in the Camphor trees above the corral. Thumper, Mazie, Lily and Lucy are our pygmy goats who enjoy the corral with a beautiful assortment of thirty hens, roosters, turkeys and peahens. This year the studio is celebrating our tenth anniversary.
This is a wonderful environment for artists to create. The landscaping is full of beautiful flowers, trees and unusual plants. Two ponds with waterfalls , lily pads and fish create a wonderful area to just sit by or paint plein air. Claude Monet would be happy here. The Art Studio faces the back pond and has windows on all sides to bring the natural light in. The floor and walls are painted with shades of blue to create an underwater feel. Each student has painted a fish on the wall to further the marine mural.
